So let me guess:  you think you own your own life because you have a ‘good job’ and a ‘regular income’, you pay your bills on time and have the lifestyle you want… right?

So if you lost your job tomorrow, how long would you last financially before your bills stopped getting paid?  How long could you keep everything you have grown accustomed to before the credit card companies come chasing after you, or the bailiffs?  How much of this can you control yourself or how much would be down to you finding another employer to take over?

What about your mortgage.  If - when - interest rates go up, how long will you last on your current fixed income before you have to downsize and find a smaller more affordable home?  Oh, you’ve paid off your mortgage?  Great!  Maybe the baks can’t touch you!  But what about your pension?  As food prices increase, the cost of living rises,  fuel prices increase, the ‘winter fuel allowance’ is stopped… how long before your fixed pension does not go far enough? That is up to the State, not you!

So for those who are self-employed: do you own your business or does your business own you?  If you cannot work for any length of time, will your business continue without you and pay you a regular income?  How long could you afford to be ‘hands off’ from your business?  The answer to that will tell you to what extent you own your own business or your business owns you!

So I ask again: WHO OWNS YOUR LIFE?

With the economic fluctuations,, stock market volatility, political uncertainty right across the Westernised world, there has never been a more important time to take control of your own financial future.

Being employed leaves you vulnerable either through a false sense of security in having a job, or because you know that your circumstances could change at any time but you do not know if or when that change will come.  The stress in almost all workplaces nowadays due to ‘restructuring’ and people being invited to apply for their own jobs, bullying in the workplace, constrict dismissal to avoid redundancy costs), promotions denied no matter how hard you work - workplace stress is like a cancer in the working population: the risks are always there, you don’t know if or when it will become a bigger problem and you don’t know how quickly or slowly the problem will develop.  The dis-ease in the work place these days leads to ‘disease’ in employees and the only solution is to take responsibility for your own income and break free of the corporate control that owns your life, your wealth, your living standards and even your health.

Prior to the Industrial Revolution, 90% fo the population was self-employed, people developed a skill that they could sell and they were paid according to their contribution to society. Noadays, however, 90% of people are ‘employed’ and have become slaves to wealthy business owners, being lulled into a false sense of security the higher up the scale they go.  A cleaner can always find another job cleaning, but what about a manager who is earning £50-80k in their current job but does not necessarily have transferrable skills to get another job with equal pay.  What happens to their livelihood, lifestyle and bills then?

If you are in this situation, you are a modern day slave to industry, slave to the 9-5pm, or more likely 8-6pm in a job where working according to what is set out in your contract is no longer adequate - you have to go above and beyond it to try to become indispensable… yet no-one is indispensable to big companies.   Good staff come and go all the time and employers have forgotten the true value of loyalty.

But there is another way for those of you who want to OWN YOUR LIFE!

Imagine having an income from a business with:

No glass ceiling and no boss to stop you from being promoted when you work hard.

No upper limit on your income.

Business start-up costs that are lower than your monthly travel cost to get to your office job

No daily commute to work

No more missing special days, birthday parties, school sports days

No more working Christmas day, New Years Day, Public holidays etc unless you WANT to

A business opportunity where no experience is necessary but everyone has the chance to leverage any skills that they do already have.

There is such a business and it is called Network Marketing.

Gone are the days of people thinking it is a pyramid scheme.  The younger generation are steaming ahead financially because they have seen the leverage that can be gained using social media to grow their own business. Savvy people are still networking in their social circles to grow the business off-line IN ADDITION to doing it online.

There has NEVER been so much opportunity to take back control of our own lives, our health and our wealth.  All we have to do is make the decision to change, to push the boundaries of our comfort zone and to OWN OUR OWN LIVES.
